Landon Ward Sets Career High in Rushing Yards
Starting off the list is Willcox's Landon Ward, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Ward made three total tackles and defended four passes, good enough to also set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 58 yards.
Willcox is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. Ward and Willcox will face off against Benson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Benson's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3. Davis and Benson will play host again on Friday to welcome Willcox, where kickoff is scheduled at 7:00 p.m.

Tombstone picked up their third consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Jmiah Wallis. Wallis was dynamite, rushing for 148 yards and two touchdowns. His longest rush was for an incredible 85 yards.
Tombstone's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-3. Wallis and Tombstone will square off against Bisbee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Tombstone was led to victory by DJ Elias, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Elias rushed for 65 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 81 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 65 yards.
