Those 73 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Owen Felton was in the mix too, providing Loyola-Sacred Heart with two scores.
Meanwhile, Florence-Carlton never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past Anaconda 35-0. Considering the Falcons have won four matchups by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Florence-Carlton's win came from a few key players Loyola-Sacred Heart will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Brody Duchien, who rushed for 50 yards and a pair of TDs, and also threw for 153 yards and one touchdown while completing 73.7% of his passes. Mattix Chase was another key player, rushing for 130 yards and one score.
Florence-Carlton's run defense was locked in: Anaconda could only muster 3.2 yards per carry. The team can thank Christian Englund for the heroic effort on defense: he. Florence-Carlton's run defense has been on the up-and-up: they allowed 5.08 yards per carry earlier this season, but they've only allowed 9.4 on average over their last five games.
Florence-Carlton's defense didn't let Travis Dye, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for four sacks. Englund was especially locked on to Anaconda's QB and sacked him twice. Englund is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least eight every time he's taken the field this season.
Florence-Carlton now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Loyola-Sacred Heart, their record is now 3-5.
Loyola-Sacred Heart was taken down by Florence-Carlton 44-12 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
