On Friday Coalfield will take on Oneida at 7:30 PM. Coalfield aren't expected to win, but seeing as the odds didn't stop them last game, maybe the squad has another upset up their sleeve.
Coalfield took an ego-bruising defeat against Greenback three weeks ago, but they kept their chin up and bounced back last Friday. Coalfield got past Oliver Springs with less than a touchdown to spare, ending up at 22-16.
As for Oneida, they had a rough outing against Meigs County two weeks ago, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Oneida walked away with a 10-0 victory over Bledsoe County.
Coalfield took their game against Oneida the last time the two teams met by a conclusive 34-7 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for Coalfield since the team won't have home-field advantage. Watch the game and check back on MaxPreps to see if the change in venue makes a difference.
