The Skyline Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the Riverdale Ridge Ravens at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Skyline focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 35 on Tuesday.
Skyline struggled with assists on Tuesday (Roosevelt had 11 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Skyline was beaten by Roosevelt 79-34. Skyline was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-15.
The losing side was boosted by Charlotte Manes, who scored 11 points along with three steals. Manes is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Keira Reuter, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Riverdale Ridge scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 80-30 win over Niwot. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Riverdale Ridge has managed all season.
Skyline bumped their record down to 2-4 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.3 points per game. As for Riverdale Ridge, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Skyline was taken down by Riverdale Ridge 84-10 when the teams last played back in January. Thankfully for Skyline, Ella Cornellius (who scored eight points along with ten steals and five rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
