They put the hurt on Wiregrass Ranch with a sharp 41-21 win. Springstead has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 20 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Springstead to victory, but perhaps none more so than Samantha Suarez, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists. Suarez is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. J'ziyah Munford was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six steals.
Springstead's victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-3. As for Wiregrass Ranch, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Springstead won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Citrus at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd.
