Softball Recap: Gloucester Extends Home Winning Streak to Six

Gloucester barely beat Menchville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Dukes put the hurt on the Monarchs with a sharp 12-1 win on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Dukes, who have now won ten games by 11 runs or more so far this season.

Gloucester pushed their record up to 12-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.8 runs over those games. As for Menchville, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Looking ahead, Gloucester will look to defend their home field on Monday against York at 5:00 p.m. As for Menchville, they are taking a road trip to take on Woodside at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
