The Cascade Christian Cougars waltzed into their contest on Saturday with nine straight wins but they left with ten. They were the clear victor by a 81-59 margin over East Jefferson [Port Townsend/Chimacum]. Cascade Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 22 points or more this season.
Despite the loss, East Jefferson [Port Townsend/Chimacum] still got an impressive performance from Keidan Guzman, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and four blocks. That's the first time this season that Guzman posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Stepanski, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Cascade Christian pushed their record up to 13-3 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.8 points per game. As for East Jefferson [Port Townsend/Chimacum], their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
Coincidentally, Cascade Christian and East Jefferson [Port Townsend/Chimacum] will both be playing Seattle Christian the next time they take the court. East Jefferson [Port Townsend/Chimacum] will head out to face Seattle Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Cascade Christian will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
