The Fort Jennings Musketeers will square off against the Pandora-Gilboa Rockets at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Fort Jennings' favor as the squad sits on 11 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Pandora-Gilboa has been banged up by 14 consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.
Fort Jennings barely beat Jefferson the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Musketeers blew past the Wildcats 10-4 on Wednesday. The Musketeers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.

Owen Calvelage was incredible, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. He has become a key player for Fort Jennings: the team is 6-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Calvin Menke, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pandora-Gilboa). They put the hurt on Vanlue with a sharp 10-3 win on Wednesday. The Rockets haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.
Nolan Leatherman made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 15 batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. Those 15 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on G Kempf, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI. Tanner Bott also deserves some recognition as he scored his first runs of the season.
Fort Jennings has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. Pandora-Gilboa's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-15.
Pandora-Gilboa's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Fort Jennings hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .323. It's a different story for Pandora-Gilboa, though, as they've only averaged .161. Will they be able to contain Fort Jennings' hitters?
