A big part of Cahokia's win came down to the chemistry between Nigel Gooden and his top target Hartles Holman. Gooden threw for 291 yards and three TDs while completing 80% of his passes while Holman picked up 143 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Holman's longest reception was for an incredible 79 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Machai Henderson, who rushed for 67 yards and one score on only nine carries.
Coming up, Lutheran is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Hannibal at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cahokia, they will face off against Lift for Life Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
