Northwest's game on Thursday was all tied up 21-21 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They secured a 50-44 W over the Northeast Eagles. The win continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

Northeast's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Destin Jones, who posted nine points. Another player making a difference was Tayshaun Mozee, who had nine points.

Northwest's victory bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Northeast, their loss was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-21.

Northwest has already played their next game, a 64-57 win against Rossview on the 14th. As for Northeast, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 55-53 defeat against Dickson County on the 14th.
