After flying high against St. Mary's last Friday, the North Raleigh Christian Academy Knights came back down to earth. North Raleigh Christian Academy received a tough blow on Monday as they fell 62-46 to South Garner.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Garner to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tamia Darden, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. Darden hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for five straight games. Taylor Moore was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds.
North Raleigh Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for South Garner, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.
North Raleigh Christian Academy will head out on the road to take on Durham Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for South Garner, they will be playing at home against Cleveland at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Cleveland will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 219th, while South Garner is ranked 62nd).
