The Fairview Knights will take on the Brighton Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fairview knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully Brighton likes a good challenge.
Fairview is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Fort Collins: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Knights blew the Lambkins out of the water with a 60-29 final score. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won six games by 21 points or more so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fairview to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ki Ellison, who threw for 354 yards and five TDs while picking up 13.1 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 45 yards. That's the most passing touchdowns Ellison has posted since back in October of 2024. Sabi Ruttgers was another key receiver, gaining 150 total yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three matchup, Brighton brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They enjoyed a cozy 35-21 victory over Prairie View on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Thunderhawks: they've now won eight in a row.
Fairview better keep an eye on Blake Andrews. He was instrumental in Brighton's win, rushing for 47 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Dalton Walker got in on the action too, returning a kick for a touchdown.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Brighton proved: they limited Prairie View to a paltry 1.8 yards per carry. The team can thank Ryan Wadsworth for the heroic effort on defense: he. Brighton's run defense has been on the up-and-up: they allowed 2.45 yards per carry earlier this season, but they've only allowed 5.17 on average over their last five games.
Special teams was a major factor in the game for Brighton, racking up 11 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Walker, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Fairview's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Brighton, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's game: Fairview has been excellent in the air this season, having averaged 272.6 passing yards per game. It's a different story for Brighton, though, as they've been averaging only 103.9 passing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant passing game?
Everything came up roses for Fairview against Brighton in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 35-7 victory. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
