If Palmer wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Rampart, they should've done a better job of containing Wyatt Kirch. The Rams came out on top against the Terrors by a score of 77-67 on Thursday thanks in part to Kirch, who almost dropped a double-double with 19 points and nine assists. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 15.4 points per game.

Despite the defeat, Palmer saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Tremel Phipps shot 53% from the field on his way to 19 points. Phipps is on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 47% in the last eight games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tule Edwards, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten boards.

The victory made it two in a row for Rampart and bumps their season record up to 7-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.5 points over those games. As for Palmer, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

Rampart wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 70-57 victory against Discovery Canyon on the 10th. As for Palmer, they have also already played their next matchup, a 56-30 loss against Doherty on the 10th.
