Football Recap: Woodland Skates Past Summit Christian Academy with Ease

Woodland never let their opponents score on Thursday. They blew past the Summit Christian Academy Eagles, posting a 42-0 win. The Cougars' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Patrick Freeman had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 39 yards and one touchdown, and also caught one score. Lucky Heath also helped with two TDs in total.

Woodland didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Landon Presson and Jaston Terry.

The victory made it two in a row for Woodland and bumps their season record up to 5-3. The team dominated over those games too, winning by an average of 45 points. As for Summit Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Woodland will face off against rival Ketchum at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st. Meanwhile, Summit Christian Academy is set to take on their familiar foe Fairland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
