The Mount Pleasant Green Knights will head out on the road to face off against the DuPont Tigers at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Mount Pleasant has three straight victories, DuPont has seven straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Sunday, Mount Pleasant had just enough and edged Overbrook out 48-45. Given Mount Pleasant's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked tenth in Delaware, while Overbrook is ranked 203rd in Pennsylvania), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, DuPont took a serious blow against Odessa on Tuesday, falling 79-17.
Mount Pleasant's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for DuPont, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.
Mount Pleasant skirted past DuPont 57-55 in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Will Mount Pleasant repeat their success, or does DuPont have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
