Northeast/Northwest College Prep pushed their score all the way to 60 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 66-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of World of Inquiry.
Meanwhile, Gates Chili's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 81-59 walloping at the hands of Hilton. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Gates Chili has suffered yet this season.
Despite the loss, Gates Chili saw an underclassman step up: Joey Vigerzi scored 24 points along with two steals. Vigerzi is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tremier Lewis, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.
Northeast/Northwest College Prep bumped their record down to 2-2 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Gates Chili, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.
Northeast/Northwest College Prep was dealt a bruising 80-49 loss at the hands of Gates Chili when the teams last played back in February of 2018. Can Northeast/Northwest College Prep avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
