Regis Groff's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Miguel Morales, who scored four points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Vista PEAK Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alante Monroe-Elazier, who scored 17 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was James Brown III, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds.
Regis Groff has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for Vista PEAK Prep, they pushed their record up to 16-4 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Regis Groff will take on Aurora Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Vista PEAK Prep, they will be playing at home against Thomas Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Thomas Jefferson knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matches -- so hopefully Vista PEAK Prep likes a good challenge.
