Despite the loss, First Baptist still got an impressive performance from Levi Borner , who scored 27 points along with three steals. The contest was Borner 's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Caleb Lindsay was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
St. Francis Christian's win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1. As for First Baptist, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.
