The Bethel-Tate Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 43-42 to New Richmond. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Bethel-Tate in their matchups with New Richmond: they've now lost five in a row.
New Richmond's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ryan Keith, who scored seven points along with six steals. That's the first time this season that Keith grabbed two or more steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylan Utter, who scored 11 points.
Bethel-Tate's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for New Richmond, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bethel-Tate will face off against Deer Park at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (Deer Park is ranked 580th, while Bethel-Tate is ranked 564th). New Richmond's road trip will continue as they head out to face Mt. Healthy at 7:30 p.m. on December 22nd. Mt. Healthy is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
