Ava Castillo was a major factor in Cesar E. Chavez's victory over Lamar on Friday. Castillo wasn't messing around, striking out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off eight hits. The pitching appearance was her fourth straight with two or fewer walks.
