The Western Hills Wolverines suffered their biggest loss since December 5, 2023 on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Great Crossing on the road and fell 86-38. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Western Hills has scored all season.
Great Crossing's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Junius Burrell, who went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points and 5 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Burrell has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Vince Dawson, who scored 19 points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Western Hills has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Great Crossing, their win was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-1.
Western Hills will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Franklin County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Great Crossing, they will square off against Male at 6:15 p.m. on Saturday.
