Basketball Recap: Kaleik Cook's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mid Valley over Honesdale

On Monday, the Mid Valley Spartans were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 57-52 to the Honesdale Hornets.

Mid Valley lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kaleik Cook, who went 7 for 9 en route to 15 points. The matchup was Cook's third in a row with at least ten points. Demaja Dunston was another key player, going 6 of 13 on his way to 17 points.

Mid Valley's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Honesdale, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
