Proctor Academy couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They ended up on the wrong side of a painful 6-34 walloping at Berkshire School's hands. The state rankings had actually given Proctor Academy a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more. This was the first contest for both squads, starting Proctor Academy off on the wrong foot at 0-1, while giving Berkshire School a 1-0 record.
Next week Proctor Academy take on Tilton School at 6:00 PM. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contest, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair. Berkshire School will be staying on the road, facing off against Wilbraham & Monson Academy. Berkshire School will be strutting in after a win while Wilbraham & Monson Academy will be stumbling in from a loss.
