Credo is a perfect 3-0 against Laytonville since April of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Gryphon will face off against the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. Credo has given up an average of 14.6 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Credo is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 35-19 margin over Technology on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Gryphon considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Zoe LaFleur was a standout: she got on base in five of her seven plate appearances with five runs, two stolen bases, and four RBI. Those five runs gave her a new career-high. Miela Beeton was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs.
Credo kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 24 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.2 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 11.8.
Meanwhile, Laytonville fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Calistoga on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 12-11.
Brigid Henry made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, two triples, and three runs. Henry is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least two every time she's taken the field this season. Jasmine Rubie-Hoaglen also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Laytonville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Credo, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-11 record.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Credo hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .325. However, it's not like Laytonville struggles in that department as they've averaged .429. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Credo took their win against Laytonville in their previous meeting on April 3rd by a conclusive 19-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Gryphon since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
