Softball Recap: Douglas Has No Trouble Against Safford

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Vista Grande, Douglas was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They were the clear victors by an 11-4 margin over Safford. Considering Douglas has won 12 matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The win made it two in a row for Douglas and bumps their season record up to 14-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 8 runs in those games. As for Safford, they suffered their first road loss, dropping their record down to 6-6.

Douglas didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-2 defeat against Mica Mountain on the 28th. As for Safford, they have also already played their next game, a 12-6 win against Rincon/University on the 25th.
