Patriot Prep Academy strolled past Wellington School with points to spare, taking the game 58-43. With that victory, Patriot Prep Academy brought their scoring average up to 52.5 points per game.
Patriot Prep Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cameron Thomas, who scored 15 points along with 9 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominic Sammons, who scored 12 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought game, but Cristo Rey had to settle for a 58-55 loss against Granville Christian Academy on Saturday. Cristo Rey has not had much luck with Granville Christian Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
The losses dropped Patriot Prep Academy to 1-1 and Wellington School to 0-2.
Everything came up roses for Patriot Prep Academy against Cristo Rey in their previous matchup back in January as the team secured a 75-26 win. Will Patriot Prep Academy repeat their success, or does Cristo Rey have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
