The Andrew Jackson Tigers will venture away from home to take on the ED White Commanders at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Andrew Jackson has given up an average of 16.1 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
It was a proper cat-fight when Andrew Jackson took on Duval Charter on Tuesday. The Tigers lost 16-1 to the Panthers. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Tigers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Lamar Stanfield made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-1. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last 11 games he's played.
Meanwhile, ED White hadn't done well against Riverside recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Commanders had just enough and edged out the Generals 12-11. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Commanders.
Austin Reyes was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Marion Laguerre, who scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
ED White always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .526. They are 3-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
ED White's record now sits at 4-7. As for Andrew Jackson, they dropped their record down to 2-15 with the loss, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Andrew Jackson has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like ED White struggles in that department as they've been averaging 11.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Andrew Jackson came up short against ED White in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, falling 10-6. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
