After flying high against South Central on Thursday, Borden came back down to earth. The Braves took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Shoals Jug Rox on Saturday. The Braves' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

McKenna Mullen paced Borden's offense, picking up six kills. Mullen got some help from Alivia Thomas and her 13 assists. Thomas was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Borden's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Shoals, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-1.

Borden wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Corydon Central on the 6th. As for Shoals, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Loogootee on the 6th.
