After soaring to 62 points the game before, the Thornton Trojans were a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Skyview, falling 72-25. Thornton has struggled against Skyview recently, as their match on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Thornton struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Skyview racked up 22 assists.
Skyview's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jada Kemm, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Yzabella Tafoya was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Thornton's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Skyview, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Thornton and Adams City will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Adams City is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games. As for Skyview, they will head out on the road to take on Aurora Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Aurora Central is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
