Mount Si is 8-2 against Issaquah since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. Mount Si will be playing in front of their home fans against Issaquah at 6:30 p.m. The last five games Mount Si has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Mount Si is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Washington's top teams: Eastlake, who was ranked ninth at the time (Mount Si was ranked 25th). Mount Si had just enough and edged out Eastlake 5-3. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Wolves: they've now won three in a row.

Drew Hossfeld
Drew Hossfeld looked comfortable as he pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has become a key player for Mount Si: the team is undefeated when he allows at most one hit, but 1-2-1 otherwise.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Eddie Coons, who scored two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Preston Przybylski also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Issaquah, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They walked away with an 8-3 victory over Newport - Bellevue on Thursday. That looming 8-3 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Eagles yet this season.
Tyler Miller looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That one hit allowed gave him a new career-low.
On the hitting side, Luke Farmer was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Garrett Sourwine, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Issaquah always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Mount Si's win bumped their record up to 4-2-1. As for Issaquah, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
