Tommy Kolencik and Gary Tarbuk certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Kolencik scored 14 points along with three blocks and two steals, while Tarbuk scored ten points along with six rebounds. Kolencik is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last four games he's played.
Geibel Catholic struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Geibel Catholic's loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-13. As for Winchester Thurston, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-5.

As for Winchester Thurston, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bishop Canevin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop Canevin has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 285 points over their last four contests.
