Softball Recap: Hancock Has No Trouble Against Houghton

After losing to Houghton the last time they met, Hancock decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Gremlins with a sharp 15-8 victory on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won six matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

The win made it two in a row for Hancock and bumps their season record up to 9-7. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Houghton, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-7.

Coincidentally, Hancock and Houghton will both be playing Escanaba the next time they take the field. The Bulldogs will head out to face the Eskymos at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Gremlins will play them later in the day, at 9:00 p.m.
