Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the McBee Panthers, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 43-21 walloping at the hands of Christ Church Episcopal on Friday. McBee was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.
Tucker Hendrix was the offensive standout of the matchup as he threw for 268 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Hendrix is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last five games he's played. Christ Church Episcopal also got help from Jackson Repp who showed off his sure hands for 182 receiving yards.
McBee's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Christ Church Episcopal, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-2.
McBee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Christ Church Episcopal will take on Blackville-Hilda at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Blackville-Hilda is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
