Basketball Recap: St. Andrew's Episcopal Skates Past Mclean with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Potomac School, St. Andrew's Episcopal was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They claimed a resounding 59-12 victory over McLean. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-7.

Riley Knakmuhs went supernova for St. Andrew's Episcopal, almost dropping a double-double on 18 points and nine steals. With that strong performance, Knakmuhs is now averaging an impressive 3 steals per game. Sara Holzman was another key player, putting up 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals.

St. Andrew's Episcopal smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in four consecutive contests.

The win got St. Andrew's Episcopal back to even at 2-2. As for McLean, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.
