The Beallsville Blue Devils will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Paden City Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Beallsville has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last five games.
Beallsville scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They managed a 66-62 victory over Southern. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Meanwhile, Paden City's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 70-39 defeat at the hands of Calhoun. While losing is never fun, Paden City can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 849th, while Calhoun is ranked 99th).
Beallsville's victory ended a eight-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-13. As for Paden City, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-14.
Beallsville didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Paden City in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 32-28 win. Will Beallsville repeat their success, or does Paden City have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
