They took a 71-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of Horizon Science Academy. New Hope Christian Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Horizon Science Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Horizon Science Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Solaiman Jalloh led the charge by scoring 28 points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jalloh has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Roland Kargbo, who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
New Hope Christian Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season. As for Horizon Science Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-11.
New Hope Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against Wellington School at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. New Hope Christian Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 451 points over their last seven games. Horizon Science Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
