Ella Miller was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Claire Yates, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kamryn Rasmussen, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Bountiful was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .459. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bonneville only posted a batting average of .310.
Meanwhile, Riverton entered their tilt with Corner Canyon on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 25-4 margin over the Chargers. The Silverwolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 games by six runs or more this season.
Maycee Madsen was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those RBI were her first of the season. Maggie Hamblin was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.
Bountiful's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 23-4. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Riverton, their victory bumped their record up to 23-3.
Wednesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Bountiful hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .364. However, it's not like Riverton struggles in that department as they've averaged .444. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
