Chula Vista had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They strolled past Olympian with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 27-10.
Paul Alvarez was the offensive standout of the contest as he rushed for 104 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Westview beat Bonita Vista 14-10 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Westview.
Among those leading the charge was Amare Gomez, who rushed for 129 yards and a touchdown.
Chula Vista has yet to lose a game at home this season, leaving them with a 9-2 record. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 28 points. As for Westview, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
