Lawrence Academy barely beat Middlesex the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Spartans put the hurt on Middlesex with a sharp 10-4 victory on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Spartans sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Quentin DeFreitas looked comfortable as he tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits.
On the hitting side, Jayden Campbell was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times he's played. Darius Karbassi was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI and one run.
Lawrence Academy's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-4. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 6.2 runs. As for Middlesex, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.
