Lowell not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 27th (when they won 15-3). They were the clear victors by a 19-9 margin over Chiloquin.
Kyla McCart was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over six innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with six stolen bases and two runs.
In other batting news, Lowell let Madison Thurman and Zayah Isley run wild. Thurman went 3-for-5 with eight stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles, while Isley went 3-for-4 with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs. Those three hits gave Isley a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Christina Henshall, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Lowell was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Chiloquin's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Lowell, their victory bumped their record up to 10-14.
