The Kenwood Broncos will square off against the Amundsen Vikings at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Kenwood is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.
Kenwood's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They put the hurt on Solorio with a sharp 15-0 win. The Broncos might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Josiah Patterson made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Daniel Luster was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024. Brandon Stinson was another key player, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and two runs.
Kenwood always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .606. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Solorio only posted an OBP of .143.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Amundsen, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out Kennedy 7-6 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Vikings have posted since April 24th.
Henry Kalmus looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Antonio Yanez, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Pierce Bakker, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Kenwood pushed their record up to 13-6-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.2 runs over those games. As for Amundsen, their win bumped their record up to 8-20.
Kenwood was able to grind out a solid victory over Amundsen in their previous matchup back in May of 2023, winning 6-3. Do the Broncos have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Vikings turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
