St. John got themselves on the board against Saint John Paul the Great Catholic on Thursday, but Saint John Paul the Great Catholic never followed suit. They blew past the Wolves 19-0. Considering the Cadets have won seven contests by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Devyn Johnson and Cameran Corbett did most of the damage at the plate: Johnson went a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, two runs, and two RBI, while Corbett went 3-for-4 with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two triples gave Johnson a new career-high. Yasmin Burrell was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three RBI and one double.

St. John's always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Saint John Paul the Great Catholic only posted an OBP of .304.

St. John's has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Saint John Paul the Great Catholic, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
