If Oakdale were riding high off their 21-0 takedown of East Beauregard last Friday, that ride came to an abrupt end. Oakdale came up short against Vinton on Friday, falling 21-30.
The loss dropped Oakdale's record to 2-5. The victory bumped Vinton's record up to 4-3.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Oakdale will take on Rosepine at home at 7:00 PM next week. Rosepine have averaged 41.25 points over the course of their past five games, so Oakdale might be in for a challenge. As for Vinton, they will face off against DeQuincy. DeQuincy took a loss in their last matchup and are no doubt out to reverse Vinton's good fortune.
