The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Cattaraugus-Little Valley in their matchups with Pine Valley Central: they've now lost eight in a row.
Pine Valley Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Danielle West led the charge by scoring 33 points along with five assists and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points West has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Vivien Libby, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds.
Cattaraugus-Little Valley's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.2 points per game. As for Pine Valley Central, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season.
Cattaraugus-Little Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pine Valley Central, they will head out on the road to take on Franklinville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Pine Valley Central will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Franklinville surely won't give up without a fight.
