Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Westminster Christian Academy Wildcats, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were outmatched by the Warriors on the road and fell 50-6. The low total for Westminster Christian Academy ended their streak of high-flying scores.
Brandon Musch threw for 61 yards and a touchdown.
Jacob Cornejo was his usual excellent self, rushing for 144 yards for Cherokee County. Cornejo has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last nine times he's played.
Westminster Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 11-3. As for Cherokee County, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-1.
Westminster Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Cherokee County is on the road again on Friday and play against Montgomery Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on December 8th. Montgomery Catholic is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
