After a string of five wins, Pearland's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 3-0 to the Shadow Creek Sharks. The Oilers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Sharks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Brayden Veach was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits.

On the hitting side, Trey Brown was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Pearland's loss dropped their record down to 18-7. As for Shadow Creek, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-10.

While Pearland had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
