The Collinsville Kahoks are ranked highly in their home state, and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of the Vianney Golden Griffins. Collinsville enjoyed a cozy 71-56 win over Vianney. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Nick Horras was his usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. Jamorie Wysinger was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with two steals.
Collinsville's win bumped their record up to 19-2. As for Vianney, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-3.
Collinsville on the road again on Wednesday and play against Lift for Life Academy at 5:00 p.m. on January 17th. As for Vianney, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Marquette at 6:45 p.m. Marquette will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 157th, while Vianney is ranked 13th).
