The Cambridge Christian Lancers will head out on the road to take on the Sports Leadership & Management Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Cambridge Christian walked away with it. They breezed by the Panthers on the road to the tune of 63-24 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Cambridge Christian.
Zay Burton was his usual excellent self, scoring 26 points. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last eight games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Karston Michael Ash, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, Sports Leadership & Management stacked a 12th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. Everything went their way against Land O' Lakes as Sports Leadership & Management made off with a 74-54 win. The win was familiar territory for Sports Leadership & Management who now have five in a row.
It was another big night for Ramone Seals, who scored 22 points along with three steals and three blocks. Willie Piggott was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Cambridge Christian's victory bumped their record up to 10-13. As for Sports Leadership & Management, they pushed their record up to 18-7 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
