The Steelton-Highspire Steamrollers pushed their score all the way to 69 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 75-69 hit to the loss column at the hands of Trinity. Steelton-Highspire has not had much luck with Trinity recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Owen Schlager was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 27 points and ten rebounds for Trinity. Schlager is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last 11 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Balaban, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Steelton-Highspire now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Trinity, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-2.
Steelton-Highspire will face off against Berlin Brothersvalley at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. Berlin Brothersvalley has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 790 points over their last ten games. Trinity won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against New Town at 11:30 a.m. on January 13th. New Town is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
