After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Olpe, Crest was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They put the hurt on the Oswego Indians with a sharp 13-3 win. Considering the Lancers have won ten matches by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Kade Nilges and Kole Walter made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Nilges struck out nine batters over 2.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Walter tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the most strikeouts Nilges has posted since back in March of 2024. At bat, Nilges scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3, while Walter scored three runs and stole three bases. With that strong performance, Walter is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Henry White, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Roy Gordon was another key player, scoring three runs while going 1-for-3.

Crest's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Oswego, they dropped their record down to 0-9 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Crest will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Indians: the pair will be back at it again later today.
